“ Whyyyyy is the food so good!!!!!! I promise you will have to go to know!! I'm not to fond of the street tacos the tortillas taste like meal, unless they are supposed to taste like that. That was my first time having street tacos though. But it's a great place for date night!! Which is where we went tonight!! I love it there!! Service was excellent!! Food was even better!! All I can say is if you haven't been GO!! And if you've been go again!! It is worth it! You won't be disappointed ”

“ This restaurant is a great dining experience. We really enjoyed the tacos, street corn, Sopapillas With Ice Cream & cocktails. There was plenty to choose from on the menu. The chocolate cake is very rich! The strawberry ice cream is delicious! The staff is very attentive and accommodating with requests. The only miss here was a mojito. Wouldn’t recommend that based on my experience this trip. There was plenty of parking and lots of seating. It was a very clean place with a great atmosphere. Will definitely be back! ”

“ Great looking restaurant inside and out, from the metal mariachi band out front welcoming you into a variety of seating from cozy booths in the back to two top tables by the awesome bar upfront,as well great social vibes through out.Service got a bit backed up so the owner himself began filling in ,from bussing tables to preparing our dinner and it was fantastic. Hats off to him for that thanks y'all it was great . ”

“ Great food, great staff, great atmosphere!! My husband and I love everything about this place! Our server, Liz, was very nice and attentive. Everyone was friendly and helpful. We will definitely be going here again soon . *Update* We have not found many places in Albany that make us feel like returning multiple times. San Joe's was one we did enjoy, until last night. It was our third visit and it completely reversed the good review I left above. I suppose the quality of service really depends on who your server is. We came in for dinner and as usual it was not too busy. We were seated almost right away. The server asked if we wanted a table and we told her yes. I explained that I am unable to sit at a booth. She first tries to seat us at a booth. When I tell her again, she takes us to a wobbly table in the back (the only other option she gave us was the bar). My husband wound up fixing the wobble by putting a napkin under one of the table legs. Our server soon brought out chips and salsa, took our drink orders, and after she brought the drinks she didn't come by again for quite some time. There was one table with several men she fawned over the entire time. They were there before we arrived, and were still there after we left. She finally took our order, which took forever to be served. In the meantime she poked her head out of the kitchen once to ask if everything was ok. With chips, salsa, and drinks? Uh, sure. When we finally got our meals the guacamole and sour cream I asked for on the side were dumped on my tacos. No biggie, I was going to put it on them anyway, but maybe not as much. The tacos were mostly guac and sour cream with some shrimp. The food was good, so I give high praise to the cook. After she brought the food, we didn't hear from her again until we were almost finished. She asked me if I wanted another drink, but didn't ask my husband if he needed a refill. By that point it was too late anyway. We asked for our bill, which seemed a little high, but we just wanted to pay and get out of there. They say the third time is a charm, but unfortunately in this case our third time here ruined it for us. ”

“ Our waitress ms. Liz was very nice and polite and was a great server and wonderful to talk to . She was great at showing us the menu and what was really great to order. Very helpful. Came several times to refill our drinks and asking did we need anything else , asked us how we liked our food , which was so good . The presentation of our food was awesome . The new menus are really nice and the food looked so delicious in the menus , and the dishes came out just as good as the pictures. This was our second time we have ate here and was wonderful both times and we will be back very often . The chips are so light and crispy . The chip salsa was homemade and was very good . Not too spicy but just right . ”

“ This is THE go-to place for a nice, relaxed evening with fun food, drinks, and service. Maggie is so fun and wonderful, great at her job and deserves a raise! The williams special (mixed, full plate) is delicious! Street tacos are yummy and supreme nachos are perfect. French fries are the bomb.com! Overall sanitary and wonderful experience for kids and adults alike. ”
